Antec case has no power

“We have 20 000 IT products on our website and we rely on the manufacturer information to keep our site current. In our eight year history as the leading online IT retailer, we’ve published over 200 000 products. Occasionally there is an error and when we discover it, we change the product information,” said Digital Planet’s Neil Watson.

I wonder if they at least care enough to have sorted the guy out by giving him a PSU or are more than happy to accept it that they have probably lost a customer now.

I'm going for the latter one, and while we on this topic.

I will NEVER EVER use Digital Planet after how they screwed me around with my 'few' purchases I have done.

buyer beware! o so it was a error and they just change it and thats it? tough luck to the customer.

as of late?

That started going downhill pretty much the second they opened their doors.

I have dealt with Digital Planet many times and have never had any issues, I am sure they have offered the customer a resonable solution like a credit perhaps, however due to an error I cannot see why DP must give the customer a PSU.

They stated it contained a PSU... they must therefore supply the PSU that was stated on the page to the consumer at no extra cost... period.

This is not an issue that should even be debated, if DP don't do this they are sneaky, underhanded and slimy...

"we rely on the manufacturer information to keep our site current" who doesn't but when ur copying and pasting get it right. Any 1 who bought that case should receive the specified power supply. They wouldn't have bought it without the power supply U idiots. That is the saddest PR attempt I have seen, do they handle their entire business like this. SIS . I never really liked the over hyped prices there myself.......

According to the Antec site the TX1050 is a discontinued model.

OTOH, when it was in production, the case did include the power supply.

Best guess: this is old stock, where one of the staff have 'borrowed' the PSU.

as mentioned earlier in this thread, i hope they gave the guy a PSU. error or no error, it was their error and not the customer's. if you by a car and it says on the advert 2 litre and you only get a 1.6. will you be happy about it?

also, it seems ASA never actually fines anyone. so these adverts gets withdrawn but what about the damage that was done. im not only talking about this specific case but there are many others thats much worse in their own ways.

Maybe it was more cost effective to resell the ones with faulty PSUs by removing the PSU... more effective than returning it to the East for refund or replacement...

i think it's their right to remove the PSU but they have to specify it and they should change the original product/model code on their list.

I had the same issue with a supplier who wanted me to return the goods at my own cost after I complained that the product wasn't as advertised. I posted here and complained and got a phone call lambasting me for making it public. I told them I will continue as long as they penalise me for their mistake. They eventually reversed the decision provided I removed the thread. I did and they did. Very poor show. This is why you have to be careful when shopping online. They supposedly don't work in enough profits to back up their sales with service. :p

Of course they don't think of how you, the customer, feel after being told its x and you get y.

DP should have given him a free 1000W PSU and a game and told him to STFU. Waiting for the ASA complaint to arrive is just plain stupid.

I have had my few experiences with them. Bought a dvd writer via ebucks. A week later they claim they never received the order. Took them about a week and a half to get everything in order then they say the supplier don't have stock anymore. Apparently they only find out that the product is out of stock when they place the order with the supplier.

Anyway...another week went by where they were looking for a different unit to give us and then they called and said they giving a refund. We got the refund, found another dvd writer and placed the order. This time we got the writer...but it was broken
