It's about 5am and I am on my 3rd glass of wine.....after 30 years of marriage my wife and 3 kids left me & I am at an all time low now. No job! No family! No one - am all alone...I know you guys assist with IT/comms problems & so forth - it is a huge effort just to write theses few lines but I am asking for some help, advice, etc.

why they leave? why no job?

First of all, you should probably have posted this in the "Health, Wealth, Leisure and Relationships" section... ;)

Secondly, STOP DRINKING! Alcohol does not solve anything!

Thirdly, try to get in contact with your kids, and build a relationship with them. Then go out, and meet new people.

Call Hope Line 012 348 3480, they operate from 08:30 to 12:30 then again from 18:30 to 20:30.

You CAN get through this !!!!!

Thank You, Brother - am going to go with this...God Bless You!

I will pray for you. When you dedicate your life to your family and you are left alone it must be devastating. Speak to a friend or family member or if you are in a church speak to someone there they usually have someone you can speak to.

All is not lost, do not forget this!

Good luck bro. Sh|t happens, as they say - but there is no reason why you can't pick up the pieces. Look for a job, and give everything to maintain a relationship with your kids.

Which wine?

lol, does it matter at 05:00 in the morning?

Well call the helpline someone gave you :) Just curious...why did your family leave you?

I can so relate to what you're going through, dude. Not the no job part though - that must really suck big time. The booze helps for a while but before you know it, you need it just to get through the day which ends up just being another problem. I was lucky enough to have siblings who live close by to help me through the really shiity times.

All the best!

Time for midlife crisis. Find a job, make some money and buy a bike. Best thing you'll ever do! :)

Carnival Rose' - only thing I could lay my hands on at 08.00am at our local Spar.
Thanks guys for the advice & help.............am going to go straight from now on!!!!

Try not to make life changing decisions in this state, like deciding to beat the crap out of somebody, treating people like kuk etc.

Let the the mist leave your head first.

Sh@t happens, you'll be ok.

someone I know is losing his leg due to a bike accident - stuff fell off from a truck and on to him.

so at least you can still walk. get a job, and move from there.

I know enough about men and women to know you were no angel through this.
She had the balls to leave not you should have the balls to get on with life.
