Hi there

I am just wondering if it's possible to use the Huawei modem on the Namibian cell network?

I know MTC in Namibia also use these modems but I was wondering if it's only by contract or if pre-paid is available too?

I would like to use my modem that I bought in SA in Namibia on their network....is it possible?

I don't see why you can't do it.

All you need is an MTC simcard and you need the correct connection settings I suppose, then it should work

I'm not sure whether or not you can buy a 500MB or a 1GB bundle on prepaid although the out of bundle rate is N$1 per megabyte i.e. half the SA rate!

I was in Namibia last year November and was roaming on my MTN SIM. The data coverage was absolutely terrible. Frequent disconnects, no througput etc. As far as I know I was on MTC through the MTN roaming agreement. I am not sure if things will be any better if you use MTC directly.
