So ive been a veggie all my life - recently moved to jozies and wanna know if anyone knows which are the good veggie restaurants??

With SA's heavily meat-orientated culture (emphasis on heavy, heh), there are probably very few veg-only eateries. Your best bet is to hunt for "health" type places, where you'll have a better chance of finding veggie offerings

There was one in Sandton Square but it closed down. We mostly stick to Thai, Indian and Chinese for the best veg menu....

I remember trying to find some when a vegan friend was in jhb.
Look at http://www.vegansa.com/dining-out-area-gauteng.php. Might help. When you find vegetarian places, ask the owners if they know of others; they probably would.

Not a restaurant per se but the Organic Market in Bryanston on a Saturday serves up some tasty veggie meals

There is a place called greenlands or something in parkview that I've had the misfortune of eating at. I just can't grasp the concept of not eating meat. It just does not compute for me.

I'm going outside to start a fire and crack a beer.
