Hmmm, I like it!!I usually do it the other way around.
- don't go all out for the first two weeks after payday, meaning I have more money available for the next two weeks.
- do monthly shopping the week before payday when everyone else is broke. Stores are usually quieter then.
- go out etc. during the last two weeks when I know exactly how much I can afford to spend.
And even then still have around R3k spare at the end of the month. And it's not like I earn a mega salary eitherDon't have any kids though so maybe that makes a difference.

.
Easy. I just make sure that:
1. There is enough food in the cupboard till month end and enough money to buy bread.
2. There is enough fuel in my car's tank to make it to work and back till pay day.
3. I don't eat out or do anything during the second half of the month.
I usually have less than R200 during the last two weeks before pay day.
Anything spare goes into debt repayments and that way I also don't have problems with family/friends trying to borrow money.
When I tell them I'm broke I really mean it.![]()

I get what you mean. When I have a lot of spare money, it kinda stresses me out on what to do with it. I'm worried I'm gonna blow it too quickly, or waste it or something. When you have no money, there's no stress about it. (This is provided there are no debt collectors or bills you need to pay of course.)Feel like this every month.. I feel so much better when I'm broke. Dont know why but really feels like the world is so much easier.
