Ive been interested in thid for quite a while...what happens if u use an ISP from another country? Anybody ever tried?

Well get the line from telkom, but instead of using ur ISP like web africa atc, u use an international one?

And why would it not be possible? Can you please explain?
Basically because if you buy an international account its valid for that international network (which would have very different cost structures etc) and not on the Telkom network, you need an account thats valid on the Telkom network to use ADSL in SA.

Lol, this is funny.
I don’t think any international ISP would even Want to resell any SA ADSL products, would make them look bad of you compare it to their other prices/products.

I think he's hoping to buy an 8 meg uncapped line for 10 pounds a month from some UK ISP and use it here.

If that was possible, I think ALLOT (90%+) of the members here would have changed over Just like that.

Lol. If there was even a remote possibility to make it work, I would be the first in line to do just that. Unfortunately that is not how the system works. Just go and read up how it all fits together, and you will understand too.
