Hi all,

Upgrades | Downloads through iTunes have been getting stuck on the Processing File part, for most of the afternoon. Will actually - I've been trying to update all day, and haven't had much luck.

A squizz through google, suggested deleting the temp files in the iTunes downloads folder, but that hasn't done the trick.

Eventually, out of frustration - I tried logging in over at the Apple Support Forums, to get some more direct help.
Was met with the message that the Support Pages are currently being updated.
Which had me wondering if something in the backroom over at Apple might be causing the download issues...

Anyone else struggling?

Anyone having issues?

Thought I had sorted it yesterday - logging out and in of my various accounts, seemed to do the trick. Figured it was my new iPad Air that had thrown authorisation.

But doing the same again today. 1st upgrade went through - 2nd one, stuck on "processing file".

Happened with an Evernote update yesterday. Everything else updated normally. Haven't tried since 'tho.

Thanks for the reply. Would certainly improve my mood if I knew it wasn't something my side! :)

Will try the update again when I get home and let you know what happens.

Been having this all day. Thought I it was my OS acting up and I'd have to format some time in the future.
Took me all day so far to download 42 updates.
Three downloads all get stuck at processing files and you have to force close iTunes and try to run updates again.

Sorry to hear! But very relieved it's not just me. Quite a few threads up at the Apple Support forums now, so best would be to wait for a fix - rather than doing anything too radical.

Luckily my iDevices now update their automatically and fortunately they don't get stuck. All those updates are for apps I don't use at the moment. Will just give it some time :)

You never ever need to format a Mac/OSX to fix something.

It's not Windows.

Same here. Ota on both iPad and iPhone working as it should. Just iTunes on my MBP that's acting up.

Had same with MBPR, did a restart, and next try came through as normal.
With Mac I have found it best not to try and fix strange issues too quickly if I have done nothing different in the while preceding the problem, they have always just resolved themselves....server/ website/ Isp things which get sorted soon enough.
If I don't think I broke it, Wait, it probably doesn't need fixing by me.
