Anyone else get no increase this year?

Got 6.5%, not sure if we are going to get a bonus, as it is discretionary, and the company has taken some major expenses this year, which wouldn't have been budgeted for.

Got 8%, was pisses when I found out that I was only getting my bonus in December but I'm glad for that now.

We had to take a 5% Reduction because of the Reccession or be Retrenched , no Bonus , no party , it is really sad. Had to take on weekend job , now working 7 days a week to make ends meet.

Yes, got a small increase in July. Not expecting a promotion in December although it should happened in July or even Jan this year, but the next chance will be October next year....

There is another opportunity within the company and if they offer me promotion and decent salary increase I will probably move on.

Our annual increment date is April. We did not give any increases this year and may not next year. Christmas bonuses are looking bleak too. We will probably give a bonus but it will be less.

Tough times.

No increase, no annual bonus, no performance bonus and leave policy changed.

Companies that don't give raises to their employees should be publicly listed.
I would lose all my loyalty towards a company if they didn`t at least give me an inflation linked raise.

Sure times are tough, but its already tough with the inflated prices.
If I was a shareholder of a particular company I would feel more at ease with a company that turns a little lower profit to have happier employees.

I can understand measures like these to avoid bankruptcy, but I can`t help but feel that it is mostly being used as an excuse by a few greedy to get more money.

I agree here, I often suspect the excuse of "no increase/bonus/etc. due to financial difficulties" is more often due to the top echelon wanting more money, than actually preventing bankruptcy.

I would say at the very least give an inflation-linked increase, bonuses are discretionary so those can not be given. But even then, there are to be justifiable financial reasons to do this. If the company can pay bonuses, and survive, then they should pay them.

What do you do? I think I may need to find something to do next year

Worked for a wine farm. However next year I start my first official job after graduating at the end of this year!

Got promoted/accepted into a more senior position but salary stays the same and no increase ("we are busy reviewing this etc....")
