Anyone else getting DNS problems?

happens intermittently... happens on my prepaid webafrica as well as telkomsa accounts... 

also notice that telkom has changed the dns servers i get via dhcp...

Getting BUNDLES of this this morning. It's very irritating!
 
Yes, on SAIX. But it's come right just a minute ago. Now pray that it stays fixed!
 
Finally, its been like that for almost 12 hours...

Ijots, obviously doing some sort of weekend update and screwing it up royally.
 
I've been getting this problem on and off for a while now, mostly with some European websites, at work on our adsl line. At home on my dial up 56k they work generally ok.

I'm thinking that maybe I should look into OpenDNS for the work, everything I've heard about them seems to be good.
 
Gateway Timeouts by the dozens. Is this going to be the most frustrating weekend online in ages?
 
I started by having truckloads of DNS failures last night. This has now been replaced today by truckloads of Gateway Timeouts. It makes using the internet impossible. It is not just certain sites that are inaccessible, but specific pages within sites that just don't load.

Its driving me nuts.
 
Same for me, getting them also, gateway timout/DNS failure. Really annoying.

HTTP Downloads are also very slow.
 
I've noticed pages that just don't load. As mentioned previously, it is even only the odd page within web sites (while the rest of the pages on the site load fine). I don't wait long enough for it to give me an error message. If I hit stop in my browser and hit refresh, it loads up just fine (99% of the time)... WebAfrica (SAIX Shaped).
 
just to confirm, I'm still getting lots of gateway timeouts tonight. It seems to happen every now and then but if I refresh the page, I can eventually get through.

I'm on SAIX, Axxess (international) and TI (local) and am on the Wynberg2 CPT exchange.
 
Yeah; same here - driving me nuts; getting it more with www.hp.com pages, but that is where I am currently surfing ---

I changed the DNS settings to some listed at SAIX but getting gateway timeouts like crazy .. Bleeding transparent proxy is having a fit.
