I have it running on my MacBook, I tried to go back to Snow Leopard, but it actually feels clunky, having gotten used to the Lion refinements. With the latest update it's fairly stable too.

It boots up in seconds with my SSD, doesn't even show the little spinner under the Apple logo!

yip. running nice here too.

they def. put some effort in.

Synaesthesia, does your SSD have encryption? Have you figured out if the full disc encryption support in Lion includes support for devices that handle encryption (I.e. suppring ATA passwords)? That's one thing I'm really hoping for.

No, haven't tried that. My SSD does support encryption, although Lion asked me when I installed, and when I started Time Machine, if I wanna enable disk encryption.

Yep. Although a lot is already public knowledge. I got it off a pirate site.

when are they planning on releasing Mac Lion and how big are the preview builds and where can i get them?

They're about 4gb, they're on the pirate bay, and they're planning on releasing it in "summer" which could be anywhere from June to September.

I would agree with you - but I'm too much of a geek! Tried to go back to Snow Leopard but I couldn't!
