Hell.
We have an oculus quest, and a link cable to use it for pc vr. Was interested to know how many of you are into vr gaming or vr in general.

Bought Half Life-Alyx yet? If not - give it a go.
Best VR game ever IMO
Works flawlessly on the quest and pc link
Couldn't stop playing it till the end.

I haven't yet, been eyeing it, so far i've been really into kingspray graffiti simulator, it's super realistic and fun. 20200403153022_1.jpg

100% agree...

Have Rift-S myself and very jealous of the quest owners since the hand-tracking announcement :cautious::ROFL:

How easy was it to get the quest to work. How is support in games

I've got an Oculus Rift but sadly haven't used it in about a year. Must set it up again.

Easier than a Rift S or any other mainstream headsets like the Vive and Index that rely on base stations.
Oculus Link is plug and play.
Supports all games. Having owned a Vive and a Rift CV1 before the quest, the quest is still trumps in my opinion, especially with the latest v15 firmware too. Enhancements coming to quest and not to Rift sets as well.

Something else to keep in mind, with software like Virtual Desktop one can also stream PCVR games that require a tether, wirelessly to the quest. Works really well. 5ghz and reliable wifi dependant of course.
Oculus link is still in beta - works flawlessly as is but still a bunch of enhancements coming down the pipe it seems

Can confirm, it's pretty much plug and play, just have to get yourself a compatible link cable. We are using the Anker cable which we got from 180by2.

A few notable benefits of the quest other than the obvious portability: OLED display, higher resolution, sidequest to sideload apps/games in development/alpha/beta for free including pavlov shack, it's oculus's baby, so it gets the most attention with updates and development, and lastly, it has hand actual hand tracking which is still in early phases, but is, and is going to be even more amazing.

Only my old Samsung Gear VR :(

You can use riftcat/vridge to play steam vr games on that, if you have another smartphone you can even set it up to act as a controller through there too. Pretty rad, saw it recently on youtube.

According to the latest Steam data the VR adoption rate is going well... It seems that Facebook was indeed accurate'ish with their numbers.

Yup, although the lockdown I've been mostly playing really active games for some reason, beat saber, racket nx.
Also got the link, which I've extended so my cable is 8m long
