It’s been almost a week now. The new sim is active and the port request was successful, I’m able to make and receive calls, send and receive sms, and access internet related services using mobile data. I’m a pre-paid customer, and I’ve contacted MTN to confirm if there are any restrictions (like sending/receiving international sms) that may be prohibiting me from activating iMessage and Facetime, and they confirmed there are none. I’ve attempted quite a few troubleshooting steps suggested in online forums and Youtube videos which haven’t worked, visited an MTN store for assistance and the consultant straight up told me that they’ve had quite a few people come in with the same/similar issue before but have no idea how to fix it, so I have no idea how to resolve this issue other than trying to port my number back.I ported from MTN to Telkom a few years back, and I remember I had the same problem but it only lasted 2 or 3 days. How long has it been since you've ported?
