Hi,

we're having a strange problem.
We have a mail server running Zimbra that forwards outgoing mail to MWeb SMTP, port 25.
We have a number of company email domains. Our main, registered with MWeb, is sending mails as expected, but two days ago, all the other company mails for domains hosted on Arvixe stopped being delivered. No bounce or error messages.

Does anyone know if Mweb just discontinued allowing 'third-party' mailing through their SMTP servers?
From Vodacom 3G, i can connect to the Arvixe SMTP server when enabling authentication, but we're stuck at the moment because we're behind a proxy that seems to be stopping us doing the same thing via Mweb; that's a separate issue though. What i am trying to determine is whether MWeb have just turned the feature off without warning anyone, especially their corporate customers. Especially seeing as we don't get bounced warning messages to tell us that something is wrong.

Thanks

I think the short answer was that you should use the other mail port. The SSL one, 563 iirc.

Hi Froot,

nope, no luck, can't connect to that either. Port 465 for Arvixe.

Thanks anyway.

Good Afternoon Snotface, thanks for bringing this to my attention. I will do my utmost to get this resolved for you, as soon as possible. I have already escalated this to our business management team to get the assistance you require.
