I am thinking to buy a PC from takealot and would like to know your past experiences with them. I would like to know if it is safe(from being damaged) to buy a custom built pc from them since this is my first time buying online.

Thanks guys

Rather purchase from Prophecy or sybaritic.co.za/store. You will get your parts cheaper.

Nothing wrong with takealot thou.

I'd suggest you try Wootware, truly awesome service.

I have bought a few PC parts from them lately and these items were packed nicely in a box with bubble wrap and brown paper.
One of the parts were faulty, but they sent a courier the next day so pick it up.
They also doing free delivery which is cool.

All in all I had good service from them so far.

Id go with Wootware. Really fast delivery and prices that are awesome.

Im yet to have bad experience with takealot, so nothing wrong there either.

In terms of buying any product, takealot are really good. Free shipping for a while too. If you shop around you'll probably find better prices here and there, but I've only had good experiences buying from takealot.

takealot is great- if you have any problems they send the courier to your door and collect

Have ordered loads of stuff from them and I've never had a problem. Also some stuff is more expensive and others cheaper, whats new its like that everywhere. Their prices are just fine for most of the stuff

Buying from Takealot is awesome and everything but I'm pretty sure buying a complete Pc is more expensive than buying the individual components and putting the Pc together yourself, if you can and know how to ofcourse.

Rather let us know what your budget is and what specs you are looking for then we can maybe workout a cheaper option for you.

Otherwise if you want to go for the easier and possibly more expensive route then yeah I don't see any problem ordering from Takealot.

As others have said takealot is awesome I have never had a problem with them, but if you want to save money rather go sybaritic or esquire if you can, you can easily save a grand or two building your own PC.

Rather buy the parts separately. Its really easy to put it together yourself... Im sure you must know some one with putting a pc together. If i had time i would do it for you for free as i love building pcs:)
Its good to build it yourself as you gain experience:)

^^ Agreed and if you struggle the internet can explain everything you need, it does seem like quiet a daunting task but there is a sense of satisfaction when you actually manage to pull it off, not to mention it's a useful skill to have and the cost savings.

Go with takealot. Excellent service, great prices and free shipping! If ordering from other places, be prepared to wait for products from suppliers.

Also, if u build it yourself u won't be scared to take out say the gpu and cpu cooler when the time comes to clean and put on some new thermal paste and do the basic pc things:)
I always order from takealot. Best service...
