the issues with latency is not related to skill. i used to do yogg +1 on 800ms and not die, as opposed to the damn slackers with 100ms. there was a time during WOTLK when if you dc'd you you could forget logging back in, disabling addons etc to save yourself from dc'ing again or getting a stable connection. i quit during that time because no one can put up with that level of irritation.
 
Time and time again I have proved to my guild that I have a stable connection I did not even dc nearly as much as some of our members with their *superior* internet
 
Might be too late now but coming from SA, to get into a good guild you would have to let them know you are adaptable. Low/high latency etc. Sucks that they didn't give you a chance, but top guilds have strict standards throughout. Maybe transfer to another guild on lolrogg and then apply again after you get to know the server etc? The anarchy people are very open minded, and the best raiders I have played with.
 
yeah people on my guild think my internet is godly, rarely dced etc, compare to the rest, i dc just when my connection stop working, 3g junk.

even became a officer in just 3 months being in the guild, most guilds is cool with it, the ones i was in :)
 
i dont have a problem with latency as I said. there was the week or so after the patch where it was a major issue, and then I just did stuff in RL cos I cba'd. fyi, I said nothing about ur skill at raiding, it was because of constant lagging and dc's that they are very suspicious of dc's, and because the rest of the world thinks SA is the arsehole of planet earth, that negatively impacts on the rest of us.

I emailed the app to them, because i felt the need to explain some more stuff that what the app gave me scope for. did the vent interview, and it went really well, except for the part about the latency, which is why there was gonna be a <potential> 2nd interview

as for why I applied to them, its specifically what I was looking for in a guild. casual gamers that just happen to be very good at what they do

Sucks that you didn't get a chance to see if the latency worked out. What adsl line do you have? You applied right in the middle of a GM switch also, so maybe they were a bit stricter with the recruiting, plus most raiders will return after summer holiday now so competition will be tight. I'd love to read/comment your app, pity you did a private application. But good luck mate
 
well, have a word with sash then. she did the interview. she sounds quite cool. a bit obsessed with her kittens, but hey, thats women for you

l2r please :p atm meant cos the servers were screwed. cant be fuzzed with raiding when I get stuck on the load screen now can I. its only a game after all. working on loremaster now, as I was /gkicked for daring to apply to a better guild than mine. 88quests to go

What you meant was not clear from what you posted, since you didn't connect the 2 points :)
 
lol Im not sorry about being gkicked. fckn useless gm and rl. cancelling raid cos there are only 22ppl in it shows no faith in his team. when there are guilds out there doing lk25 hc with 3 healers. s'alrite, Ive given up on actually killing lk while its current. got other stuff to do now, like getting ashes of a'lar, zandalar rep, and finding the last 73 quests for loremaster (logged in late last nite)

guess I might have made it not too clear, but really, if I wasnt interested in raiding, there would be no way I would spend R170 for a x-server transfer to a raid guild :p my bad
