Anyone remember Future Crew?

Who are Future Crew?
Future Crew is a now-defunct group of Finnish computer coders and artists who created PC demos and software, active mostly between 1992 and 1994

I loved the demo "Second Reality" by FC.

Does anyone here remember it?

Yep... I used to have tons of those demos on my old 486! Was always wishing I had a more powerful computer to run them as perfectly as possible!

A couple of years back I went Googling to see what demos were available today... but the demo scene is not as active as it was back then... at least from what I could find.

How's about you upload those MP3's to the UUNET for us plz? :)

as per request...

Sure, uploading to ftp.uunet.co.za/pub/incoming/futurecrew

Just give it till about 11pm and then after, download 1 file at a time ;)

Enjoy!

Listening to these mp3's just reminds me of my 1st days using a computer, sound blaster (how amazing I thought it was), my first computer... geez.

I guess its true what they say hey Garyvdh;

Legends never die ;)

that's true,.... cos guess what I was playing a lil bit earlier? A Doom Deathmatch Multiplayer game! That game still rocks for Multiplayer!!! Aaaahhh.

Got them... thanks... Sound awesome on my Logitech Headset! :D

Wish I had the graphics to go with it! :(

A yes, the Fins seemed to grow demo coders in clumps or something. Great fun watching mercury-like images morphing to the tunes and amazing tunnel fly-throughs.

These days I am more impressed by the demo competitions that are limited by size, its amazing what these guys can pull out of 64k or even 256 bytes.
