hey, some people did 200 gigs last month, by about now the first dude should be around 3 gigs!
 
well im on 8 gigs, up and down, but my ip hasn't been reset yet, so i dunno, hopefully i dont get capped when its reset.

Hi. I have an account through a friend's ISP called TSOL. (when I connect I get a telkomdsl address) -- I did 5gb yesterday and my account is 100% capped. HARDcapped. No local, nothing. I can only access http://userstats.adsl.saix.net and nothing else.

Does kinda suck!
 
I have done 9gig on TelkomInternet, and am not yet capped.

/me waits to be flamed by the pro-cap, pro-low use, morons.
 
Nooberizer, has your ip been reset. or are you still on the same ip, cause im also close to 9 gigs now, but havent had a reconnect.

But thats not through Telkom Internet is it? What isp?

i thought screw it i would go for it this month, and so far not capped, but not had ip reset, so if i get capped, oh well.

Will tell you what happens when my ip resets, didn't they do it at 24 hour intervals, cause ive been up for like 34 hours now.

Well, it's through a company called TSOL. I know he's a SAIX VISP. So, I'm actually not quite sure if it is a 'telkominternet' account or if it's directly through SAIX. I don't even know if there's a difference. All I do know is that my account is 100% capped and not working.
 
So basically he's just like every other ISP?

The only ISP that doesn't hard-cap is TelkomInternet. Anti-competitive? I think so. Although, for some reason, they can get away with it.

Regretfully they get away without the capping because they have a huge bandwidth pool that according to them is due to 95% of the subscribers using less than 1.5gb.

They can get away with the anticompetitive behavior because ICASA is powerless and Poison Ivy is - to put it nicely - incompetent.
