Anyone tried Firefox 1.5?

I see there's a beta available, anyone tried it.

Think I will and report back, in the meantime if anyone has it are there any issues?

Been using rc1 for a while now and the apart from some of the extensions that aren't uptodate, the only ugly is that I don't have scroll bars.

Maybe it's a setting but I'm a bit lost.

Edit: - ok, updated my theme and the scroll bars are back.

I just clicked on the link at:

And when it went to the site, I got the following message:

Illegal Operation in Plug-in

Windows media player plug-in dynamic link library.

The plug-in performed an illegal operation. You are strongly advised to restart Firefox.

I clicked OK, but the message kept appearing till I checked "Do not remind me of this error"

After I did that I did not restart Firefox and the clip I was trying to watch loaded and played just fine.

A little strange.

Also noticed Tools/websearch Ctrl-K doesn't work

and I'm battling to find the Talkback plugin that was installed with Firefox.

Also Help/Check for updates returns error: AUS: Update XML File Malformed (200)

I know there won't be any updates just yet, but it shouldn't return an error, it should just say "no new updates" or whatever

dunno, man... the web search thing works fine on mine (via both the menu and shortcut key)
and searching for updates didn't give any errors either...

Which extensions do you use that aren't updated yet? You can update them yourself - not too complicated. Except if they need some of the really old firefox features.

Hmm, now I try from my laptop and both functions work fine. I'll try from the desktop later

Guys My Mouse Batteries just blew up and I am using a Microsoft Two button mouse... No Middle Button Click to open link in New Tab so I have to right click on the link and doing that just gave me an option to open the link a as an internet explorer tab. this is actually cool and I wonder if it will work with some other browsers installed on pc... I will try installing Opera and other Browsers.... this looks cool... Welldone Mozilla...

holding down ctrl and then clicking a link will also open it in a new tab - slightly faster than having to right click all the time

btw, are you saying that you have the option to open a page in an ie tab without having installed the "ie tab" extension? haven't heard of that before...

Boss I only remember installing the customize google extension.... maybe it was installed automatically or something like that...I will install 1.5 on my work pc and check it out... I dont have the IE Tab there.
