I ordered my htc Touch HD today and am looking for a good protector.
I came across www.invisibleprotectors.co.za
the shields seem pricey but if they look good and work well I don't mind.
Has anyone tired these before? What are the alternatives for the Touch HD?
 
I ordered one for my Garmin Nuvi from them and and though it is very strong , I didnt like the finish of it , but that could also be that I didn't apply it too well . A friend of mine works for VPS , the guys that apply that shield for the front of your car to prevent stone chips . He gave me a sample of it which I applied to my Omnia , and that works very well .
 
thanks - that's what I'm worried about- applyint it incorrectly
 
I bought a silicon cover for my N82 a while back (about a year now) and while at Autopage Cellular I spotted some "invisible shield" type covers. They were not very expensive at all. As far as I can recall it wasn't more than R50. Under R100 absolute max as the silicon cover cost me just a little more than that!

They did not have one for the N82 specifically but on checking we realised the D900 one was exactly the right shape so I bought it. It is still on my phone and has saved it from a few scratches already. I am actually going to get a new one soon so I can replace the scratched one.

But not sure whether those ones would work with the touch phones.
 
reviews I read were pretty awesome
@LancelotSA these are more costly about R250+ but with a lifetime warranty.
They do not scratch and work with touchscreens
 
Hehe, I've actually bought one for my ipod from the US.

I'll be honest, if you want to apply it properly, it takes time. It took me 1 hour to put it on my ipod. But it was worth it because I did the job properly and now it looks so neat that you can hardly see that it is there.
Just make sure to watch one or 2 youtube videos of guys putting the thing on, and then you should be fine from there...

Let me say it was definitely one of the best purchases I have ever made. My ipod has no scratches on it, and I can shove it in my pocket/bag or anything else without worrying. The material is VERY strong and can stand up to a beating.
 
Well, youtube have a few videos of people taking it off, and it looks like you can yank it off if you really wanted... but then again, why would you want to remove it?
 
I got one for my Nintendo DS.

Difficult to put on, but very tough. No sure about removing it though, have not tried. But i think it will require some force to pull it off.

They pretty good products, just a bit expensive.

Do you have any evidence / experience with removing them?
I am pretty sure that :
1 - Getting hold of the bit to start pulling is almost impossible.
2 - If you pull wrong, you may actually rip the glass off of the device.

Yep , I have removed one already , its the same as removing a piece of vinyl off a window , and the beauty is , is that there is no glue residue left as you use a soapy substance to apply it , and then squeegee it out once its on straight .

Seems the Bodygaurdz (2 kits included) one is rated better than the Invisible Shield. .......hmmmm!
