Anyone using Mozilla Thnuderbird 2 as their email client?

I see that I can setup Thunderbird to access my Gmail account. Thing is (and excuse my noobness :p ) If I make a new account for my Gmail - Does it overwrite my current Cybersmart acc or can you "jump" between the two?

I use my Gmail for web-based stuff so only check it occasionally. Don't really want it as my "master" account.

What it boils down to is - I don't wanna create an account using my Gmail settings and then only be able to access Gmail and then have to mission in hindsight to revert back to my old settings.

Any help on this one please?

You can have multiple accounts on thunderbird just like Outlook express,
I have been using Thunderbird for along time already, about the same time i switched to firefox, its way better than outlook express. but doesn't have the same capabilites as Outlook (not that i need those features anyway, all i want is to check my mail)

I've used TB for a few years now, and I'm very happy with it. Especially the iCal support is very helpful.

Just to update - its been a couple of days and I really enjoy the interface from ThunderBird and am happy to be using it. Thanks to all the peeps for pointing me in the right direction :)

The portable app and lightning are suiting me just fine!

/2 thumbs WAY UP!!!! :D
