I spoke to a lady at Renault and she said the duster should arrive between July and September. They should have already arrived in country but they are having problems keeping up with the volume being demanded in other countries.

I am hoping that the 4x2 diesel to spec model goes for about 180k. If it does I want one the moment they arrive.

Why would you buy a french car? Nothing but trouble.

Renault has gotten a lot better in the last few years and I will definitely be taking a service plan.

Have you seen the new clio? It's gorgeous and has bells and whistles no similarly priced car has.

I drive the Nissan NP200 (Dacia Logan Pickup) 1.5dCi.

Awesome bakkie, but they are putting the same motor in the Duster... It's not the most powerful motor (63kW/200Nm).

If they can get a bit more power out of it, it would be a great car.

I think that this jobbie is sourced from Romania aka Dacia.
As the saying goes: "You can't drive it, you can push it."

I read that as "Renault Disaster", thought it was yet another French car complaint.

Reading the review, it looks quite nice. However, going to take some convincing to get me into a Renault.

But only the RHD Dusters are made in India.

The one coming to South Africa will also be assembled there. Minus the fan between the front seats.
I'm also keen to test drive one, maybe even buy one if the price is right. I've seen a lot of Youtube reviews and it looks good.

Sure, but it's a product specifically designed for, and built in, 'emerging' markets. I'll give it a wide, wide berth... things'll be falling off before you get it home from the dealer.

I must ask: What car are you driving and what is your dream car?
