AOE3 demo out - 366MB

thanks.. will head off to fileplanet later at home tonight? any idea of system specs for demo? the link above is blocked by work's firewall, thus my request... ;)

when is a sequel to starcraft brood coming out??
 
the only Starcraft franchise game in the pipeline seems like Ghost... yet they are really taking their time with it... kinda reminds me of DNF... sigh...
 
Well, I think AOE3 will definately revolutionise RTS's. I cant wait to try it out :D

I have downloaded it. Prety much the same as everything else I have. Could be wrong though I haven't tried any other of the AOE games.

Played it for a little while.. it still feels like AOE, which is a good thing, I guess. I was expecting a little more from the graphics, to be honest. They're not bad, but they're nothing special, really. The animations are very well done. Gameplay, intially, looks the same as AOE, with the exception that you now have a "home town" which can send you supplied every minute or so.

I'll prolly give it a miss.. there are far too many xbox titles calling me :p

Good money on him kicking everyone here's @ss. Its ridiculous. He actually made my computer cry once he beat it so badly.
 
Downloaded it again now, its not bad but expected more though. As munwaal says it still feels like age of empires which is good. I will buy it if it is the same price as other games (R299), they can forget about me buying it if they are going to charge R499 like AOE2
 
First off... took me 9 hours to dl... wtf helkom averaged 10K/sec :mad: Anyway installed it this morning and played it for 20 minutes or so. Cranked all the settings to high so I could revel in the new graphics, but alas was slightly disappointed, sort of like dungeon siege.

Also the game was a little jerky, I have more than the minimum required system spec turned down the graphics a little but didn't improve that much. :confused: Will experiment more tonight.

A little rusty of the RTS side of things, I remember that knowing all the hot keys was really helpful and also knowing what to research where etc... not going to comment more until I have had some time to familiarize myself a little more. :cool:
 
tried the demo... not impressed... i got the hardware to run it fine but the online screenshots seemed retouched as nothing of that sort was displayed in the demo... i will keep my money on the DoW expansion coming at the end of this month... i suppose the moderator likes the game to make this a sitcky?
