AOE3 demo out - 366MB

Well considering this game got released 17th oct around the world... it must say something about south africa...
I've only got the trial, and Damn!... i dont know what you people are saying bout the graphics not meeting the hype... obviously your either blind, or stupid, or both...
dont know bout you piraters... but i am definately gonna buy this one (considering i've only ever bought 3 games in my life before... its a big thing lol)
Definately an upgrade from Aoe2Conq! Go Guys!

Will only join the clan if i cant beat you lol

AOE3 community.

Join the AoE3 community on Mirc , shadowfire.org, channal #AoE .

We have played a bunch of local games, so join and get some people to play some games!

team games are hardcore lol :P

For those who have played the demo

I have a P4 3GHz, 512mb ram, FX5200 Nvidia card. ANy idea how AOEIII will play on my PC?

@MrJones.

Got's an FX5500 card and it stutters badly on the menu already.
That's combined with the 640MB RAM.

This is suprising because my rig handles Doom3 quite well.

Game released!

The game has been released and is available in stores (at least in TopCD Menlyn :-)

Remember to go to IRC server Shadowfire and join channel #AOE. The MP is apparently the best thing about the game!

Well I got it, havent played it online yet but the skirmish battles are brilliant.
I also see its only going for R250, i nice suprise since I bought AOE2 for R499:(

I received my copy and played a few multiplayer games on ESO.

Great game.

Only 2 problems:
1. It take some time to find a game where I don't have a red "ping" to the other players. (I am on ADSL via SAIX).
2. Last night in the middle of a great game, my IP reached the time to get resetted by SAIX. This was horrible timing. THANKS TELKOM!!! Bear this is mind when SAIX or ISP's decide to reset the IP every hour. You loose your connection when this happens!!!

I've also had some issues with high (red) ping on eso but normally gets a game with yellow ping within a few tries. If we can create a local community with local games at pre-planned times it'll be great!

I think the IRC channel #AOE on server Shadowfire will be a good place to start and organize some online games. We've had some local games via direct IP which works great. Some guys even have normal 56k modems and it still plays fine.

I had the same problem, but with quick launch it is solved. The program finds an opponent automatically and the game starts.

I did not like the demo, but the full game is very good. Those who did not start playing ESO yet: remember you start from scratch (in terms of cards) when you start at ESO, so you should start as soon as possible ....
