Heya, all u need to do is share a minimum of 25gb (Sharing or hashing implies that you list your files that you would like to share in an index) It doesn't use bandwidth to compile your list at all,
There is no ratio's on the hub at all, so you may download to your hearts content, all i stipulate is a min share ie a list of your files available to other users of 25gb's. The speed of your download is determined by 5 diff factors. 1 The line speed of the user / 2 Your line speed / 3 How many slots they have open (This is controlled moreso than torrents, so you should get decent speeds) eg. A user with a 384k line is only allowed 1 upload slot and a user with a 4meg is only allowed up to 4 slots, This controls the speed effectively, of their uploads and downloads to you. No.4 How many slots are currently in use by other users, ie if user has 2 slots and only one user currently downloading, The user will be getting full upload speed from that user, No.5 The more sources for files, ie Duplicates will add to the download mass speed, So the more users the better, Currently hub has a share of a constant 50tb's of data to select from, So Invite peeps, share all you have, Download mega amounts, and have a load of fun ..

This is not a replacement for torrents or nzb's or any other download protocol you may use, You can use it in conjunction with the others and broaden your horizon to the world of Apexdc a great application, Also there is a mainchat room and games etc that are played from time to time such as trivia...

Pls Be aware if you are on telkom, due to mweb's peering agreement, you will not be able to connect to mweb users. And vice versa...
There still are a lot of users that you will be able to connect to...

A reminder to peeps, If you are getting disconnected due to the port you using for the hub address, there are other variations you can try aswell.
thehub.activedns.co.za:465 , or 411, or 412, or 443 , or 3128, or 6666

Hi all, If you have sep up all correctly and port forwarded and everything, and your speeds still seem pretty slow for no reason, Go to Settings >> Advanced >> And Uncheck "Enable Safe and Compressed Transfers", helped me a lot :) hope to see you all on the hub :)

Reminder a few Points

1.HUB Uses Local Cap
2.There Are NO Ratios... NO Points so no need to SEED what you download.
3.Minimum Share is only 40Gb's (Pls Share What You Download from Hub)
4.More People the faster overall speeds, So Invite Many
5.Download Mega Amounts
6. Have Fun, Relaxed Atmosphere, Chill out and see what hub has to offer.

This is my ratio just out of interest for those that have doubts... Not that it means S&#$ <Baphomet> ratio: 13.87 (Uploaded: 524.02 GiB | Downloaded: 37.78 GiB)
So it does work, and speeds are good as well

Seacom and mweb curbing p2p is having a bit of a curveball effect on mweb users, not being able to connect, its not your settings, so leave everything as is, will auto connect when it's rectified :(
