So whats your verdict?
are you also going to use it as a secondary phone like V3G?
...are you going to change your sig to Apple iPhone Junkeee

?
my take on the i-Phone is ...............
The interface on the iPhone is in a class of its own. The Touch Flo GUI has nothing on the iPhone. The impressive part for me is, even with all the 3D animated visuals the interface brings to the party, the device is super responsive and silky smooth.
the Browser ( Safari as it is called ) gives you the ability to open Multiple pages which you flip through by dragging you finger left or right on the screen. Changing your zoom levels on a web page is quick, easy and at the same time mind blowing, place your thumbs on the area you want to zoom in on and pull them apart or push your thumbs together to zoom out. Scrolling through a web page is precise and super smooth, if you scroll to far, part of the page goes past the end of the screen and bounces back. The same operation on the Touch seems extremely mechanical in comparison.
while using the browser to change your view from portrait to landscape simply turn the device and your view changes. the on screen keyboard turns into a quite a usable thumb keyboard in Landscape view ( but this only applies to the browser )
SMS, e-mail etc can only be used in portrait mode ( as far as i know ) this makes life a tad bit awkward using the virtual keyboard, at this point i really miss my trusty Stylus and the transcriber input option on the WM OS.
With iTunes on my XP machine i had no problem synchronizing my PIM data.
the e-mail client has pre-loaded settings for Yahoo mail, Gmail, .mac and AOL. Popping my e-mail didnt go to smoothly ( there where loads of hampering factors for me at least )
Over the weekend i am will be configuring a Virtual Imap server on our Exchange 2003 server and monitor the device performance with push mail .
I will update the progress later.
For now, i am really impressed with what the Apple boys have achieved on this device, the Interface is truly impressive. on the Media side of things you pretty much have your iPod in 3D, searching through a couple of gigs worth of music is a pleasure.
I have to give credit where it is due, the iPhone is awesome.
@ Ivan as for me changing my sig ... it aint gonna happen, the iPhone lacks business features which are abundant on the Windows Mobile platform ... my WM devices are all tireless workers that i cannot do without .... in terms of productivity for me the iPhone is about as useful as calling Telkom Support ....
