Hopefully this is incorrect/false:

iPhone SE 4 might come with a ridiculous amount of base storage

Apple is announcing the oft-rumored iPhone SE 4 on February 19, as revealed yesterday by CEO Tim Cook. The much-anticipated refresh of the company's cheapest smartphone is expected to start at $499, which is $70 more than its predecessor.

And yet, for that amount of cash, you might be getting a measly 64GB of storage, if a new leak that purportedly shows a Chinese retailer listing for the device is accurate.

The iPhone SE 4 will be offered in three storage tiers: 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. In 2025, most Android mid-rangers start at 128GB, but Apple might go another way in order to preserve its profit margins. Not to mention that you could be paying $100 per each storage upgrade, as is the norm with Apple.

In that case, expect the 128GB iPhone SE 4 to be $599, and the 256GB model to go for $699, which is just funny. We've said a lot recently that in markets like North America, Google's upcoming Pixel 9a will compete head-on with the iPhone SE 4, since there aren't a lot of good mid-range options over there, but if this rumor pans out then the Pixel 9a might actually be $100 cheaper when you pick the same amount of storage.

I hear this all the time and can’t say it’s been my experience.

If anything it’s even more responsive at a wide angle on my iPhone 16 over my 11, but granted I only really started paying attention to it specifically after getting the 16 and actively looking for this concern as people mentioned it at the time.

No difference between various FaceID models for me, but I have to agree with others - the phone simply cannot unlock if it’s on a bedside table next to you etc.

Even when it’s lying on the desk right in front of you - I have to bend forward and position my head more squarely towards the screen, or pick the phone up.

Minor annoyance but having a bigger screen with no button at the bottom makes more than up for it.

I guess some of it is that I just never use my phone like that so wouldn’t notice.

My phone is on a MagSafe stand next to the bed so always angled.

Where it does get deeply annoying is on my iPad Pro because I’m a leftie.

The 4th-gen iPhone SE 4 is almost certainly going to be unveiled on February 19. That’s not baseless speculation: the clues come directly from Apple, with Tim Cook himself promising that the newest member of the family will arrive on Wednesday.

We should acknowledge, however, that pundits were saying something similar last week, and obviously the new phone didn’t appear. In fact, likely prompted by those optimistic rumors, third-party vendors have already started offering cases for the iPhone SE 4… or the iPhone 16e, depending on which manufacturer you ask.

We bought one of these cases from a German firm while researching the iPhone SE 4 and have since received it. We’re happy to share this case and its secrets with you now, but please note that all information should be taken with a grain of salt, as the manufacturer explains:
