Apple iTunes MASSIVE FAIL

quick tip for those running out of space on their iPad's/iPhones:

Tick "convert higher bitrate songs to 128kbs AAC"
It takes a while to convert your music, but is well worth it and only needs to be done once - takes a 12gb collection and makes it 6gb. you won't be able to hear a difference unless you are an extreme audiophile.

PS: it only converts your music on the device itself, it does not touch your mp3's on your PC.

lol if you don't like apple dude, don't buy their products..... simple as that really

Go buy a sagem, nokia, errecsion, LG, samsang, motarola or one of those weird blackberry things - any of those brands will be good for you, as none of them have iTunes or any of their Apps or bookstores..

it's really not Apple's fault that we live in a country with dried up internetz - blame our Department of Communications and their Telkom monopoly.

Grammar Natzis around the world just had a stroke.

I don't use it t download - so that's also never bugged me.

But my list of gripes are :

* give three separate libraries (music, movies, photos) because not everyone has a Mac and uses iPhoto to manage photos
* compilations don't work properly - you have to sit and tag them yourself as compilations. Those tags don't stay, so next time you import the library, you will spend more hours tagging ..,.
* Sync! Sync! Sync! I wish it would mirror the folders ... If I delete from the folder, remove it automatically from the library. An, not everyone has a Mac and we still prefer a file explorer/structure
* often it doesn't import everything. I have 32,000 songs and I notice it'll import 31,600 before stopping. On re-importing, it'll go to 32,000
* why not make it DLNA so we can have ONE library on our PC?
* allow multitask! When importing and the window pops up, thats it - you can't do anything. We are in 2012 now ....

I wish they'd create an iTunes II from scratch and that can be a real hub of entertainment

You should submit those ideas to Apple. Who knows... they might just incorporate them.

I like their products ... but they can be so much better, more user friendly and in all honesty, could probably be the best tablet available.

They just have some really stupid ideas sometimes - and they're all business decisions. Someone sat down and though, 'I do not want them to do X'

The only REAL gripe that I have with iTunes is its speed. It always chunks down my computer. Otherwise it's competent enough, at least just about as good as any other music aggregation application on Windows. I feel like it has some potential to become almost a full-fledged platform in its own right though if they'd develop it with some more ambition.

+1

Maybe the same enthusiasm they create their hardware. Steve goes on about how fantastic things should look - even when they are not seen. Apple should apply the same to iTunes.
