I wonder if it has sunk in yet with the other, well established, manufacturers that the iPhone killer might just turn out to be the new iPhone OS?
90% of Apple's brand strength is perceived "quality" or "upmarket components" when in reality their components are much the same as anyone else's, just over-priced and harder to swap-out. It's the old adage of buy the same item from Jet Stores for R50 or from Woolworths for R150.00 (The Woolworths item is therefore the better item, cos it costs more). The people who buy into this line of thinking are grade A sheep.![]()
The problem with your logic is of course that it is flawed. Jet clothes are of lower quality than Woolworths. The material (including dyes) and stitching in Woolworths clothing is superior and Woolies stuff lasts longer.
actually.. I was talking about the same item of clothing... but never mind.
Me too.![]()
How so? You described two different manufacturers.
I buy my legend T-shirts from Makro cos they are R50 there. I am not prepared to pay the R120 that Woolworths wants for exactly the same T-shirt (same brand, same manufacturer, same quality). It's stupid and over-priced. But obviously some sheep think it is better... just because it is sold at a Woolworths store.
The same is true with Apple. You are paying for the name brand, not the quality. In most cases you are paying more for less features...

Are you sure those are identical T-shirts?
Much of woolworths clothing is branded with their own brands. If you compare that to clothing priced at less you'll never beat Woolworths quality, in fact Woolworths may even beat 'outlet' store quality sometimes.
People often see clothing and say - it's the same, eg Ackermans, Jet or even Edgars but if you compare the stitching, dye and material, not to mention the style you'll usually find the better quality lies with W.

Actually you are right... Woolworths T-shirts always shrink and are never long enough in the trunk length. The Makro ones are better quality.
LMAO another Apple hater... FAIL!
This pic is now redundant:
