Apple may launch dual-SIM iPhone

According to reports, Apple may launch iPhones which support dual-SIM.

9to5Mac found reference to a “second SIM status” in the iOS 12 developer beta 5 software – hinting at a dual-SIM iPhone in the future.

Doubtful it would be any different to the integrated Sim as found in the iPads and Watches and not actually dual sim with external sockets as expected.

I'm pretty excited about dual sim in a high end phone that Im assuming will be easy(not cheap) to purchase in South Africa, whereas all other high end dual sim phones rarely make it to South Africa along official channels.

Apple removed a headphone jack to cram mroe features and functions into the phone, a second sim is a waste of space. Mobile networks will be forced to adapt as pressure grows.

Data and Virtual numbers is the future, carrying two Sims is not.

I haven't ditched my dual sim phone. In fact my whole family have dual sim phones.

What was the reason for you ditching the dual sim.

You don't need to use the second sim if you don't want to.

If they do, it'll most likely be an e-sim. Apple aren't in the habit of listening the consumer if they can't extort them.

Article explicitly mentions that a second sim tray is mentioned,so hopefully you're wrong.

Funnily enough my S9 plus Dual sim is no bigger than a single sim s9 plus, and I have 256gb memory so yeah no need for a memory card and it's not like Apple does those anyway.

I'm actually stoked at this news,I quite liked the iPhone X,fitted nicely in my hand and felt just right but unfortunately carrying two phones around or a dongle was not working for me so I had to get an S9 plus.

It's a nice phone but small things like the gimmicky curved screen crap irritate me.Also a notch and minimal bottom bezel is nicer that the s9 bezels, more efficient.

Second SIM will be disabled on the phones sold by Vodacom anyway.

It's almost funny to them go back on every decision they've ever made
