Apple posts billion-dollar profit

Apple reported on Wednesday that profits in the first three months of the year topped one billion dollars as sales of Macintosh computers climbed more than 50 percent.

The firm also plans to open more of specialty Apple Stores internationally, with shops opening in Australia, China and Switzerland in coming months.

And its not just SA - Apple is notoriously for ripping the UK a new one with their high prices - the UK even pays (paid?) more for iTS downloads than the rest of Europe.

I buy everything from the states - if I wasnt able to do that I cant say with any certainty what I would do.

Core's supply in SA sucks to be honest. They could have a serious market penetration rate if only they could supply the smaller guys as easily as they do the big retailers. Waiting periods of weeks on iPods etc are just ridiculous!
