Netherlands-based analyst suggest that Apple is looking to buy TomTom

As far as I knew, some of the mapping data that Apple used was licensed from TomTom already..Why would they buy a company when they can license the data (as they already do) until they get better data for themselves from their own inhouse mapping teams.

Apple bought Placebase, Poly9 and C3 over the last few years, who have all become inhouse teams with some great technology.

I will stop using TomTom and go over to Apple. I'm sure if this happens, TomTom Home will be integrated into iTunes. nooooooooooooooo
