Apple responds to iPhone 5 photo issues

Thats just BS, Sorry to say no sunsets photos for u:P

It's a bug but it's common to a lot of phones. iPhone 4S isn't immune to it, and neither are a lot of lower range snappers. Not sure just how bad it is though?

Those pix sure look bad enough .. and as someone mentioned it's usually a problem with cheap camera components. Not a good feeling that Apple tried to save a few bucks in the wrong places with your expensive new toy hey.

I don't think that's accurate. It's still the best quality cellphone camera on the market till the 920 arrives.

You mean the best quality purple-enhanced camera on the market?

Look like the problem may be with the new lens cover. It like looking through a motor bike helmet visor with polarized sunglasses on. There's always a purple haze.

Cerebus, seriously now ... will you ever acknowledge any of the numerous problems with the iPhone 5, or will you forever just keep on coming up with excuses to defend what is looking more and more like a product that fails to live up to the hype/expectations?

If it pleases you.

Hehe, you seem to have a massive hard-on for this little piece of fruit-branded technology, judging by all the absolutist fan-boy statements you make don'tcha! ;D It's tha bestest!

Ah I was wondering when you'd bring me up on this. I haven't touched an iPhone5 or iOS6 for myself. I have no idea personally how serious these issues are. From what I've read Apple Maps is a pretty major ballsup for which Apple needed to apologize. I figure, 5-6 months and the major bugs will have ironed out. The rest seems to be much ado about very little.

1) It is prone to pick up scratches on the fascia, but on the other hand it's sturdier than pretty much any other smartphone out there - so it's a tradeoff.
2) The camera gets an odd purple flare at certain angles towards the sunlight, but on the other hand it's the best smartphone camera around until the 920 arrives, so you just learn to compensate.
3) It's still astonishingly fast and beautiful. It still gets rapturously praised by reviewers even after long periods of use.

I could equally wish that you'd realize that the things some people prioritize in a phone aren't the same things that you prioritize, and that doesn't make their opinion invalidated.

I hardly call the Apple support persons response to one person an official public response to the issue.

If Apple do admit there is a problem, it should be done in a similar way as was done for the maps issue.

Yeah I think it's fantastic. But as for absolutist fan-boy you're either off your rocker or just haven't read much of anything I've posted. I don't even carry an Apple gadget with me. The wife uses the iPad, and I have a Sony Tablet S and a Galaxy S sitting next to me on the desk.

It's cause they holding it wrong ;) hahaha i'm waiting for 5S.. the fix :P
