Apple MacBook Pro with M4 chip unveiled

Apple unveiled an updated MacBook Pro lineup with new M4 chips, looking to entice shoppers with speedier processing and AI capabilities.

The laptops will run the M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max processors, part of a new generation of chips that Apple is rolling out to the entire Mac line.

I'm trying to find a reason to upgrade but the sad truth is that my base M1 Air with 8GB RAM meets all my mobile computing needs.

How long ago was it they defended the 8GB RAM - and more importantly - why the switch from something that they said works better than anything else?

I've got the same machine as you and it no longer meets my needs; I do a lot of software development and it's now becoming an issue with running out of ram.

Thinking about replacing it with:

1. A MBP M3
2. A Mac mini - M4

Exactly. I remember buying a 2017 Air and it had 8GB when they said my previous 2014 model works better than anything else with only 4GB.

In fact, my 486 worked great with 4MB. Why do they keep upgrading things with newer and faster technology. I'm outraged

So you're saying a huge amount has changed in the 11 months and they could never have predicted the changes?

Sounds legit

I'm saying nothing of the sort. I'm laughing at your desperate attempts to comment negatively on all things Apple so you can have another fight.

Oh.

But maybe remove your Apple glasses before you reply cause it makes you looking kinda weak

Changing your tune again? Lol as usual.
From what?

I think sometimes we have different conversations and mit may be the language barrier.

Ngithe bebengavikeli yini i-RAM engu-8GB ngaphansi konyaka emuva. Ngamanye amazwi benze i-U turn. Akekho oshilo ukuthi isiphelelwe yisikhathi. Uma i-BMW iphuma isho okuthile bese iphikisana nakho ngemva konyaka, nami ngiyokubuza lokho. Okufanayo nge-Samsung ne-OLED nokusuka ekushayeleni i-QLED kuye ekwamukeleni i-OLED.

Your iPhone 13 Pro is obsolete so the older M1 air will be obsolete as well according to you.

That's because it lacks the features.

I'm sure the features in Apple notebooks bought 11 months and back and are the same? I'm not sure? \

But questioning a companies U turn or change of heart isn't usually an issue ... but I can tell @Spizz was fuming that anyone dare question anything :/

Dude, you could set your watch to you frothing at the mouth and spoiling for another argument when an Apple thread pops up. It's as weird as it is funny that someone cares so much about a frikken tech company, but you deflecting doesn't magically change your behaviour. That's down to you.

I just bought a little Intel NUC yesterday and am busy turning it into an overspecced monster. Do I have Intel glasses as well now?

Lol, more deflection. But okay, where did I question anything you said or defend anything Apple against you? On any thread, go now. Find and bring back...
