Apple Watch thread

Will be doing my first swim with the Nike+ today and first run tomorrow.

I'll provide some feedback, but first impressions are very good. The Nike+ straps are insanely comfortable due to the perforated design.

In all day meetings yesterday and checking notifications continuously and with brightness on full, the battery was 75% at 5pm after being taken off charge at 6am.

That's bloody excellent.

Anyone here have a few other watches if so... Do you ever wear them any more ?

I have a decent Maurice Lacroix Swiss (costing 4 times the price of the Apple Watch) and a Casio G-Shock but both see little use.

I love my Apple Watch, series 0, especially listening to music on it:

Quite a few series 2 models in stock on istore online.

Yes, from Bell&Ross to Hublot to humble Casio. Every watch has it's occasion - a smartwatch is suited for "office" work for notifications, and the style watches are better suited for going out.

I mean, do you really want your wrist to light up like Hong Kong every time you raise your hand at night. No thanks.

I lol'd.

But personally don't have an issue with this. You're just helping others keep track of time passively.

No worries. Which one did you go with?

42mm Sport Silver with grey woven nylon band. Bought a spare Sports band as well. Had my eye on the Black - but pleased I went with this one, think it offers more options in terms of bands etc. than the black would have...

2nd day using it - so far, so good.

Is anyone else having issues with "Hey Siri" on the Series 2 (WatchOS 3.1)?

In my case Hey Siri stops working after restarting the watch and it can only be restored by unpairing and setting up as new. This fault is 100% reproducible.

I am trying to determine whether this is a hardware or software fault?

(There is a similar thread on the Apple forums but the problem does not appear to be widespread)

Same problem here. And with my girlfriends Series 2. I've been talking to Apple Support on Twitter but no luck so far. Very annoying.

Update: Apple twitter support have now opened a case and are going to call me during the week. Will keep you updated.

Had the same issue with my Nike+ Series 2.

It **always** happened when pairing a bluetooth headset.

After disconnecting the headset, Siri would refuse to work with "hey siri", even after a restart or reset.

Unpairing repairing 3 times seems to have solved it, and being on a strong Wifi connection at home. Don't ask me why, the first 2 attempts at repairing were done in airports but all seems fixed now.

Totally bizarre - and little info on the forums.

Same here, although I find the whole process extremely frustrating as they assume you do not know what you are doing and have not tried basic troubleshooting steps. I am thinking of just returning the watch - this process should not be filled with so much drama!

iSupplySA, any news following your discussion with Apple Support?

A case has been opened and I've been given a number to call...just haven't had a chance yet. Plan to call tomorrow. Will report back.

Where did you get stock of the series 2?

The iStore had stock of certain S2 watches about 2 weeks(?) back, over a weekend. Someone popped up as much in this thread - I jumped and ordered online. They were unavailable again by Monday(?) morning, so must have had very limited numbers, that went quickly.

Got mine finally. Enjoying it.

Just use it for notifications, time, heart rate etc.

Can we use this thread to share useful tips and tricks you've found. Cool apps etc..

Anyone on here who had the original and upgraded to series 1 or 2, any real life difference or improvements? Was the improvement of series 1 or 2 over original worth the money for you?
