Apple's iPhone foldable still far off despite all major rivals launching models

Apple Inc. is now alone among global smartphone brands without a foldable device in its portfolio, putting it on the sidelines of a trend that promises to generate tens of billions of dollars in coming years.

With Alphabet Inc.’s Google launching the Pixel Fold at an event Wednesday, every major brand running the Android operating system has now adopted the form factor.

I have not seen recent reports of issues with the Samsung. They're bulky though.

Companies should focus on flip phones and not these huge foldables. Flip phones was popular because they are small in the pocket and your screen is protected when its closed. Now they building these stupid big things even with a screen on the outside.

Apple is either first, or dead last with trends. Remember how long it took them to start using larger screens while all the Android had them for years, or to start using OLED screens. They will have a foldable, but likely not for a while.

Apple should love that. It's like the glass breaking on the back of their phones. More easily damaged components that force people to replace their phone prematurely due to high apple repeat costs.
