Hi.. I am run windows vista on my Laptop but not able to install "Application Software - VMC 9.4.4.17702" from Vodacom. Also have a K3765-Z stick and thought I would keep up with the latest software, but "un-successful" is the word.

Even though under the Vodacom download page, the new application caters for windows vista and 7? Has anyone else had a problem?

What is your exact error message? Have you tried uninstalling any previous versions of VMC before installing 9.4?

Agreed. Trying to install VMC ontop op another VMC version or VMC Lite can cause some issues and conflicts. Uninstall the older version first and then install the new one. I would not worry to much about VMC though. I think keeping up to date with firmware is more important, if available from Huawei etc.

VMC 9.4 detects older versions are asks for removal before installing.

As Morkhans asked, what is the exact error message? Or what exactly happens when you try and install it?

Why would you want to install it in the first place? Get MDMA. Minute footprint and it WORKS!!!

Yes I did follow procedure, saved the new version, un-installed the previous, re-started my laptop then ran the version I had saved. The new vmc program is not recognized by my Laptop with Vista. Did follow this up and seems that folk in the UK have also had problems installing the new version with Vista and windows 7. Anyway I re-installed the version previous to this.

All other versions went well. I re-installed Vodafone Mobile Connect (9.4.3.15494). Windows Vista on my Laptop doesn't seem to want to run and install the latest version that I have mentioned and can't remember what the error message said.

Hi All,

Hope this is the right thread. Well I had some issue's with VMC 9.x too. I am running Win 7 64 Home premium and my E220 just stopped working saying searching for network for ages and nothing. But on the laptop its works 100% else where in here i found a thread directing me to Vodcaom with the new VMC and a Firmware upgrade, I had to remove the VMC Lite that I had and the new version installed fine. The prob I now have is that I am on pay as you go and keep getting a msg that my volume data limit has been reached and i am disconected although my bundle has alot of data left, i cant find a tab or menu item anywhere on the dashboard that allows me to set or disable these msg's and stop getting disconnected. I know what my data balance is and when to rechagre this is most annoying, does anyone have any suggestions please. Thanks Guys

same problem

Hi
My apologies for not opening my own thread but I have the exact same problem as the previous person. I get "Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid" when installing VMC

Running Win 7 Ultimate X86
Trying to install VMC 9.4.4.1.17702 (Which supports win7)
I have a Dell Vostro 1520 and the modem is a Dell 5530 minicard
There is no previous versions of VMC installed and there never was

Any help will be much appreciated.

I can't guarantee this will work for you, but after having the same problem, I ran it from the command line eg: setup_vmc.exe /v and it went ahead and uninstalled vmc lite, then installed vmc and it works like a charm.
