I am weary as it is, after what I have read here to apply for Neotel. After checking their coverage map, I see I am almost slap bang in the middle of the red (excellent) coverage zone. I currently have a 512k ADSL line with Telkom, but would like a bit more speed.
So head over to their website. Type in the address, it finds it...confirm that I am covered, and click "Apply"
It takes me to a screen where I enter my name, ID etc....all goes smoothly. Fill in the Postal Address, all filled in...click "next"
Keeps insisting that I must enter my Province. The postal adress "province" field is easy, as its a drop down box. Select my province, click "next" - same error message. Under my physical address is a province field that is not editable, so go back to the beginning to make sure I selected my province when checking the coverage area (it takes the information from coverage area and populates those fields when you click apply) - it doesnt carry the province over. All the other information is fine and carries over, except for province. You cant edit the field to enter your province, so you are literally stuffed both ways.
Thought maybe its something to do with my browser, so fire up chrome and firebox, spend about 2 hours battling - exact same thing, nothing.
Why bother having a website where you can apply if it doesnt work? Surely they should be wondering why there are no signups on their website?
