To be clear, I have tried to do this directly with Cool Ideas, but they chose to continue to dodge the issue and take the unethical route.
---
I have received the email regarding the price increase and speed changes on the 1st of March 2023. When I saw the email, I immediately cancelled my subscription with them.
But, Cool Ideas requires a calendar months notice, which means my subscription will only come to an end on the 30th of April.

If Cool Ideas informed me a day earlier, 28th of February, I would have cancelled then, and our relationship would have ended on the 31st of March, and I wouldn't have had to pay the ridiculous amount they want for April.

I have asked them to do the right thing and end our relationship on the 31st of March, but they gave me a nonsense response.

Now I am asking again, publicly, do the right thing and let me go on the 31st of March.

I didn't ask you to notify me late.
I didn't ask you to become one of the most expensive ISPs.
Why are you holding me hostage?

Axxess, cheaper than Cool Ideas, notified their customers on the 24th of February.
Afrihost, much cheaper than Cool Ideas, also gave their customers fair notice.

The ISP of the Year, 3 years in a row. Chose to inform their customers on the 1st of March, effectively locking them in for April. Well done, Cool Ideas, let's see how you make it 4 years in a row.

I had the same issue years ago, calling them was no help but got help here which was "nice".

Home-Connect is another ISP doing this. So R900 down the drain.
Octotel informed me that the increase letter to Home-Connect was send ages ago. Only conclusion - done on purpose.
