Aramex global shopper

Quite impressed with my first shipment from AGS. Took 4 days from the UK to my door.
 
If I want something shipped from USA to RSA, what is best route to go with amarex, and is aramex my best option?

It's going to be two books that needs to be picked up from someone I know and then hopefully arrives safely in south africa without any hassles, delivered to my street address.

I do not want to go through another USPS-to-SAPO event where by some miracle it makes it...

Your friend can courier it to the New York address. From there it will be shipped through the Aramex Global Shopper system.
 
Yes, but aramex GS is only for purchased goods. Not anything else. I previously asked if I can use them for a repair that was done and the item needed to be returned, but they didn't want to help. I used postbox courier, although they are more expensive. Aramex didn't want to have to deal with the hassle of customs - where I did not want to pay since I had already paid when I received the item.

People really don't read the FAQ's (and I include people that work there in this rant).
This is from Help/FAQ/Page 7
Can my family or friends send packages to me through my Aramex Global Shopper address?
Yes, they can send packages to your Aramex Global Shopper address and we will deliver them to you. Please make sure they put your Aramex Global Shopper account number as part of your address.

I think even I read that some time ago. I just remember that the email they sent me mentioned specifically only purchased items.. So clearly, even those that work there ;)
 
Getting sick is seeing "out for delivery" only to get no van.
11pm the "out for delivery" changed to "delivery rescheduled".
Well... DUH.
Last week it happened once. Today again, making me wait another day for my Amazon Echo Dot Gen 3's.
Me not a happy bunny.

Here's what was on the waybill, according to Google Express;

Service - Delivery to [My Name] 182-21 150th Avenue, Please include on waybill "PLZ [ACCOUNT NO.]", Springfield Gardens , NY

Am I supposed to contact Aramex? The email was sent from a no reply address. My account number was on the waybill, I just had to include "Please include on waybill" before it, otherwise Google Express automatically thinks the 4 character account number is an apartment block and adds it to the first address line.

Mine has already cleared customs and it arrived at the NY address on 01/12/2018. But my seller did not actually include my account number from what I can see in the photo. I take it as a warning.

Postbox courier is great for this sort of stuff.
 
Placed an order with Amazon last week and the package just left customs. Expecting delivery tomorrow hopefully. Hopefully there are no more delays.
 
I called Aramex today to enquire about my package with customs since 1 Dec.
" Call back tomorrow and we will follow up with customs"

I hope my package has not turned into a early Christmas gift for someone.
 
Anyone else experiencing slow processing from AGS? Had a parcel recorded at AGS Mumbai offices on Friday but still no payment details as yet. I was hoping to have the parcel this week.

I would think they're swamped. The holiday season is not fun for retail or logistics - believe me, I used to be in that trade. You finally get to January with a stunned expression, asking; "wht heppened?"
 
So last week I followed up with Aramex regards about this parcel problem since I used the AGS shipping address and my account number.

For some odd reason it edded up with JHB Mail Aka SAPO instead of Aramex

I do not know how this happen even though I filled in the Shipping Details and AGS Account number correctly but it ended up with the JHB Mail Centre?

Is there anyway I can just rather collect from them instead?

If you had given the seller your Aramex details it would be at Aramex.
If it is in the South African postal system (and you have a SAPO tracking number) it has been addressed to you, and has nothing to do with Aramex.

Thing is I used the AGS shipping details for Shanghai from their website of AGS including my account number but somehow it ended up with JHB Mail Centre instead. :(
