Are Android Phones the Same?

Anything snapdragon basically, most of the Nokia phones.
I get that a SD phone can get a Gcam port with nightsight activated but do they all make dramatic improvements to camera quality or night photos? There is also camera2 api access which I am less clued up on.

My mum has Xiaomi with a SD439 , will try that out later.

Using the stock launcher I haven't noticed any freezes yet. This phone doesn't like you messing about with the default stock apps.

alil off topic, but speaking of, which midrangers available locally have a really good Gcam port available?

I am really curious to see the Pixel 4a 5G just cos I find the regular 4a a bit small. But in terms of camera reviews, the 4a stacks up to the A71 which is more pricy. However the A71 has more flexibility in the camera dept with wide angle etc, has an SD chip so Gcam is an option and you can get the A71 dual sim with expendable slot. So if Gcam puts the A71 on a level footing with the 4a its a good option.
Probably the Redmi Note 9s. It has a port with most stuff working.

Let me rephrase: Any SD600 and up that's <3y about. Never tested a 400 series so don't know if they have the same features.

In Android Lollipop Camera 2 API was introduced, think anything post 6 it's usually got full support but manufacturers do disable it, like Xiaomi. Nokia has full support AFAIK.
New Nokia phones should hit South Africa soon, so 9.3, 8.3, 7.3, and 6.3 are all supposed to launch within the next month: https://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_93_and_73_to_launch_in_august_or_september_rumor_says-news-42594.php
Be sure to check the actual specs and see if there might be something better, but all of those are definitely going to have Google Camera ports.

Swapped it out for a N20 Pro. It still comes with a microusb port for some reason. The N30 with usb type c has a crappy 720p screen. Wonder why these companies can't make something that just get the basics right.
Are not the same??
