Hey all!

Silly question - but if I've bought a song off iTunes - and then delete the song off my Mac, can I simply re-load/download it? Or will I have to pay again?

Was very surprised when I came across an awesome EP of a South Africa band on the US iTunes store, bought 5(?) songs for $4,99. Problem is, there appears to have been some error in downloading them - or maybe the fault is on the Apple side? When I play some of the tracks, it plays through until there's about 20-30 secs left of the track, and then it simply stops mid-song, and skips over to the next track.

First time this has happened. And it's rather annoying. Thinking of deleting the offending tracks - and downloading them again, to see if that fixes things. Not sure what would happen though, since don't want to have to re-purchase them...

Any thoughts?

You can re-download purchased songs from all your itunes devices.

Open iTunes (make sure you're logged into the account you purchased the music on) and check down the right hand side of the store window... You'll see a couple of quick links. One of them is "Purchased". Click it and it'll take you a list of purchase tabs... Music is the first tab. Click on "All Songs" and simply re-download the songs you're looking for.
Hope that helps.

Couldn't make it work - probably missing something simple.... Deleted the file - sent to trash. Went to "purchased" - and sure enough, they are all there - but marked as "downloaded". Not really sure how to get it re-downloaded now... Any suggestions?

Ah... just googled. [facepalm]. Once deleted, that's it apparently. See there are threads about iTunes cutting songs off - will have a look at that first...

[Edit]

Right. Having a conversation with myself. Worked it out. Googled an old thread - so ignore the above. Needed to restart iTunes, and select "Not on this computer"- and then download again. Doing it right now. Slight issue is that the re-download might only be from the cloud - which could mean that the "problem" might still persist... Won't risk waking the little ones now, blaring Gangs of Ballet - so will check in the morrow to see if its worked...
