Are people really this clueless?

So it will be the Homosexuals against the gingers in the end???

Gingers will still win .ppfft!!

:D

My darling...if we cant beat you....we will sneak into your houses at night while you are sleeping and dye your hair a more acceptable colour. Hell, we might even through in some highlight to boot.

Hm. Interesting thread.

I don't like being touched by strangers, man OR woman. Even if they are known to the family, I have a severe aversion to hugs and kisses from people I don't know well... HOWEVER, I have no problem giving my wife and kids hugs and kisses, and I have no problem hugging my best guy friends, but if one of them were to give me a kiss on the lips, somebody's gonna get a hurt!

Or are they trying to get shot in the head?

When I go out, I've noticed that annoyingly often some closet homosexual* tries to wrap his arm over my shoulders (or worse). The last time this happened the **** actually came up with an excuse when I said "What the ****?" He said "Well I'm from Highlands North and that's how we behave up there."

I mean, are people really so isolated in their backwards little villages, that they think it's okay to half grope other men?

I'm seriously considering getting a jacket with spikes. Maybe I should just wear some 4 inch, transparent pigeon spikes through my shirt, for the element of surprise.

I can't understand it. If you don't know whether someone is the 'touchy-feely' type or not, isn't it just a common courtesy to err in the side of NOT groping them?

*No offence to actual homosexuals - I know most of you okes have more tact than that.

Edit: Yes, it's a rant, but I actually want to know what goes through these idiots minds.

I certainly wouldnt think that a guy who put his arm over my shoulder was gay. If he grabbed my ass or kept buying me drinks the whole night I would be suspicious. I think you are just insecure.

I wonder if the dude would have behaved the same way had a woman done it?

Some men out there are quite strange... Like this dude at work who complimented my cologne, imagine a seemingly straight guy saying to you... "Mmmm, you smell so nice, what perfume is that" ... I'm like WTF???

A drunk dude just started giving me a neck rub in a pub once. I just went with it. It was a much needed neck rub and it didn't feel gay.

Homosexuality is contagious you know.
Soon they will rule the world.
They are only here to infect all your males and use the females as manual labour.
we have been trying that for years! it doesn't work, they burn their bras and have marches and stuff instead....

It's damn close to a phobia, but I don't think I'm the odd one out. How many people actually like this behaviour being inflicted on them? Have you ever thought that plenty of the people that you do this to don't like it?

Don't get me started on hugs. I hug almost no-one, including women, and definitely not men. Shaking hands is bad enough, especially when I can't dash off to a basin immediately after. And no, it's not OCD, it's because peoples hands are generally filthy - I know mine are.

You have a problem.

After reading the replies, I think I see the problem. You touchy-feely types actually think that you've got the right to grope any unfortunate victim you choose, all in the name of "being friendly", and anyone who doesn't like it is being weird.

If I understand the law, your uninvited groping is assault; maybe if one or two victims went to the cops, instead if brushing these incidents off "just another touchy-feely ****", you people would learn to respect others personal space. How about you keep you hands to yourself!

As for Nick333 and the surprise neck rub, WTF? Where do you draw the damn line? That's waaaay past being friendly! There is no reasonable way to explain that.

R13 and Mila. I'm 30 years old and I've only every liked beaver. I am 100% confident in my preferences. Do you have any reason to think differently or are you trolling? My money's on trolling.

Obviously there are some touchy-feely types out there with an entitlement attitude, but a few okes have backed me up in this thread, so I know I'm not alone in my loathing of them. I'll be on the lookout for that spiked jacket.

I don't allow strangers into my "private space". A flat hand held out against the person's chest (no shoving or pushing) indicates that they should not come closer. If side on, then an extended elbow does the trick. From the rear.... well that will get you a snot klap!!

More like a kick in the nads :D

That said I've never experienced this myself and I'm not homophobic. I do have some gay friends and it's cool bananas. Was out drinking with this one gay dude I knew and I got approached by another gay dude wanting to take me out for dinner obviously assuming I was gay because I was drinking with a guy that you know is gay. I politely tuned the oke I don't swing that way but the gay friend tuned out loud so most of the bar could here 'just ignore the fairy', I chuckled :D

Lol. I thought that may freak you out. To be fair my gf and I had been talking to him and a friend of his and the guy was way past wasted by then. It freaked the gf out more than me and hey he seemed to know what he was doing.

To be honest with you I think we're a touchy feely species and to be so anti being touched is dysfunctional. I'm not judging, I wasn't raised in a touchy feely family and I've only recently become comfortable with hugging and that sort of thing myself. But its sort of passive aggressive to be so protective of your space.

As for your cleanliness issue, thats definitely OCD dude. This obsession with anti-bacterial soaps and hand washes and crap is just nuts. A bit of dirt is harmless and possibly good for your immune system.
