Are there differences between console and PC games?

to be fair, what about a port from PC to console, like Doom, Quake, UT ?

Never played that sort of port, so I can't comment, I imagine it could suck as well.

I've played UT3 on both the PC and 360. To be honest, I prefer the 360. I guess I finally cut my teeth in the dual-analog-FPS control setup. My first foray into console FPS was Orange Box (again, very good)...
