are these artifacts???

Yes this sounds like PSU problems if anything. Or sharing of the PCI-e 6pin connector with hard drive\mobo \fans etc...

DOn't see how a swop out will fix the problems at all.
Infact I know the SuperGTs that Flytek/DotComputers sell are based inthese cards and they worl flawlessly, so maybe it's the rigs no?

hmmm
its a thermaltake truepower 420w, that is pushing a athlonX2 3800+,7900GT,1x sata hdd and 2gb RAM. And it is connected correctly.

how do i upload bios:)

thermaltake PSU? That's where the problem is. I recently had to run with a TT TWV500 PSU with Dual 18A 12V+ rails, but it failed to run 2x7600GT and A64 4800+ an just shut down. Aopen 400watt ran just fine... <_<

Anyway, you'll need a boot disk, either flash disk or 1.44MB.
Download NVflash 5.31
Boot into "DOS"
Type "nvflash --save gainward.rom"
it should dump a 64Kb file with the .rom extension. (exactly 64,024bytes)
Or you could dump the bios using Nibitor2.8a/2.9 in windows.
Then you can mail it to me or if this board supports uploads. Uplaod it.
Should it refuse to accpet .rom files (forum that is), just change the extension from .rom to .txt (hopefully the board does not compress the file and damage the structure...)
I'll PM you my e-mail address should your uploading not work.

thnks shockG, i will do that tomoz. Tooo tired now.
@SCB where you been?

@ SCB - Ha, awesome colours man. ;)

Best I've gotten is when all the ground textures are bright (SF) green. The only problem was that when I took a screenie to show it off, it came out solid green. :(

It's happened twice now.

I don't recommend using the Xtreme-G drivers - I've used them before, but they gave me either blue screen issues, or artifacts of the like RB has.

strange im using them and the performance is way better

i would say try them if it doesnt work it doesnt work but you'll never know if you dont try

i doubt these guys would put so much effort into the driver package for every single person to experience blue screens
