Good people...I am looking to get two of these https://www.takealot.com/andowl-q-s...smart-camera-waterproof-outdoor-/PLID91141272 for my place to tide me over while I save up for the Hikvision ptz cameras (the ones that cost about R8k). Anyone with experience of them? More importantly, will I be able to link them up to my Hikvision NVR? I had got these https://www.takealot.com/3mp-1-5-mini-wifi-ptz-speed-dome-camera-10-x-digital-zoom/PLID73180941 but try as I might, couldn't get them to link up to the NVR.

As always, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You are going to need cameras that have onvif support, which will be able to be connected to your hikvision NVR..

Andowls have RTSP support according to the website, which is the minimum you'd need
Often with the chinese cams you need to "enable" RTSP by booting them with a SD with a config file

Thanks WAslayer…it says these ones have ONVIF support (but then again, so did the ones I had to return).

Thanks PsyWulf…sounds like it would be too much effort? Best to keep looking then. I don’t suppose you have any suggestions for outdoor ip mini ptz cameras that I could consider around the same price point?

Have you tried the cameras yet? I am also keen on hooking up a PTZ camera to my Hikvision NVR/DVR
Talk about a delayed response...really sorry. I ended up getting two Uniview mini ptz cameras. The other two cameras just would not work.
