Can anyone recommend a good Wireless Security Camera?

EZVIZ or the TAPO ones. Look for the 3-5mp version and not the older full hd.

The difference comes in when needing to identify numberplates etc.

We use it. You can extend the power cables by buying the adapters and wiring (your local cctv store should have this).

True.
The cable is 3m.
I bought cheap cables from Takealot and they did not work (10m).
I bought higher quality cables from Builders and they worked perfectly even though its double the length of the takealot cables. R400 a pop though.
Buddy. Ever extended a cable from your ups to the router. Visit your CCTV store. Its about R15-20 bucks adapter x2 and then you use normal thin power cables.

Its cheaper than Takelot. Positive to Positive and negative to negative.

Its really so basic to do it. Suggestion take the cable you want to extend to your local cctv store.

Your 12-month review is humbly requested.

I had an Ezviz C3A for outside and their "Nightowl" (forgot model number) for inside back in SA for quite a while. The C3A was outside in a complex which was a building site so you can imagine the dirt, rain etc.

No complaints except back then the app wasn't great. The cans were very good for their price though and the battery lasted about two months I think.

Tech has moved on since then. I now have two Wyze cams.... meh. If I had to buy new ones today I'd probably look at Eufy.

We use Tapo. These actually

We also have the indoor ones looking through windows outside in areas we dont need fully outdoor ones. Work like a charm. Get a decent 128gb memory card. We got the Sandisk Ultra cards.

Personally we like them a lot. Our neighbour did a 15k cctv setup and our camera is clearer than his, nice though we look at each other's properties. And then quite a few neighbours has ip cameras or cctv infront installed. So generally as you come down our Cul De Sac, you are basically under US Surveillance all the way through...

1. No more annoying people walking their dogs to our property and taking a poop then not cleaning up after themselves.
2. No more speedy Checkers delivery drivers (We sent a few videos to Checkers)
3. Stopped about 3 attempted breakins, otherwise no theft anything
4. Even the Bin Scratchers now avoid the area. (We gave about 5 quite not so friendly warnings never to return. they didnt.
5. One guy hit a neighbour car, and then drove away. we had about 4 cameras look at this, with the numberplates etc. Lets say he didnt get a nice visit from the Police.

So TPLink TAPO or EZVIZ. Get a 128gb memory card in it, and then Bob's your uncle.

Downside is, if you plan to have an affair, its a really really bad idea.

Oh. From the GoPro Hero 5 I think, they make great webcams. I use a Gopro Hero 9 Black as a Streamcam even. If you have those laying around.

Next I want to get is a DVR for my car. Spoke to the dealer, its about R2800. They will find out the installation cost for me. Because from the things I have seen on the road, I can launch a very succesful Youtube channel with just the DVR feed.

I run 4x Ezviz C3W - I've got a custom setup for the NVR; use MotionEye for real-time viewing and Shinobi to handle events and recordings. (I have 24x continuous recordings on all of them). 2TB Cloud storage gives me 6 weeks of footage into the past. Although they are not native PoE devices, I've used a PoE injector so all get powered by LAN cable. I did not like the idea of using WIFI to connect them; a Wi-Fi jammer would render them useless.

I am most impressed by the recording and sound quality.

I recently installed a Ezviz H3. It does what it says on the box. The only thing I've realised is that an NVR or some other way of recording video or events would help for security. Any suggestions?

You can add Micro-SD to have it store and stream video on camera,a NVR to record over network,or use the Cloud-record function (Paid)

Does anyone have any experience with either the TP-Link VIGI C540-W-4 4MP or the eufycam 3 s330?
The eufy is very expensive for example and don't want to go that route if it is rubbish

So what camera from any of the above brands are outdoor IP cameras with POE?
