All the poeple that have said no, do you have issues socializing?

Does your poor opinion about yourself affect your ability to socialize?

I have an anxiety disorder, fight or flight response can kick in at anytime for no reason or the smallest bit of stress. I have a therapy method that helps me understand it.

Yes.
Try keeping a good self-esteem and mainly don't give a crap what others think about me. Only those who's opinion matter to me though.

What is this method you speak of?

There are self help books that deal with Anxiety disorders, social phobias etc, they teach you about relaxation responses, how to counter negative thoughts, to not magnify situations that feel big to you etc...

Will be entirely happy when I can dedicate myself to philanthropy. True fulfillment can only be gained through assisting others.

Thanks to lexamil.. yes :)

But the stress of losing my job and not having plans for teh future, not having girlfriend and seeing myself as un social and un attractive I feel that if/when I get to a certain age and people expect you to have done something with your life. I might not feel so good anymore no matter what..

Better start doing something, or try doing something with my life soon.

tough one,

I'm gonna say no seeing as there's areas in my life which really need to be sorted out... and having that "happy-go-lucky" attitude really isn't going to help them ;).

I guess you could say I'm the stereotypical "sad-clown", where even though I look happy, I'm funny, and I'm jovial around people, I still have personal issues, and suffer from depression (hasn't happened recently though, thank god) and also a very low self-esteem (I try to act as though I'm confident though...). I guess some people are meant to be social animals and others just don't fit the bill (thus resulting in sleepless nights of angry masturbation and tears for lubrication :p)

Yes

it's the majority of humanity I'm not happy with, but I have no choice - sheeples have rights too
