This must be a catch 22 for most forumites that love to talk **** when people march and now that they're asked to do it well they don't want to be called 'looters' without any evidence.

Lol @ the people who can't afford to take off but can't use their annual leave either, you'll are cringle worthy.
 
this is probably how it all started for black south africans. some said lets get up and fight. some said no it will not help and nothing will ever change.

i wonder what would have been the outcome if those that stood up, didnt. how long would it have been before they realised their mistake. what the cost of that mistake would have been. and if they would have had another chance to stand up again, if ever.

then i wonder if the people of zimbabwe went through the same thing. and made the same mistake. and still have not realised it, or just cannot change it now.

i will most definitely be marching. if for nothing else, than to be able to hold my head up high when the bullet comes.

Yeah if you do get shot all those keyboard warriors on MYBB who didn't march can come up with an elaborate theory of why you deserved it with your 'criminal' behavior.

Oh FFS. Whats all this shyte about being shot. We all have more chance of being stabbed or shot in our own homes, with all this rampant crime, than going on a peaceful walk with the worlds media watching.
 
It's a quandary for employers...a corporate with ~5000 or more employees never shuts down. The lightest staff compliment during December is still probably 25-30 percent of staff on site. How do you service customers if you've granted staff blanket approval to stay away (even with a day's annual leave to somewhat balance the books)?

And then there's the tricky situation of your relationship with Government if you're seen to be encouraging civil disobedience.

All in all, not as straightforward a thing as some of the comments ITT make it out to be. The larger employers will probably tacitly approve staff absence for the day but will expect at least a skeleton crew to be on-site.

And that is fair and understandable, but suddenly everyone is now mission critical when push comes to shove. Never knew we had so many ceo, department heads, line managers etc posting here.

I just want a day off, i'm sure most people who are "marching" will be chilling at home.
