Same Cape Town. At about 2pm in Adderley two ANC people started banging on a truck window that was trying to get past but the rest of us said no and some guys went up to them and basically pulled them away (basically as they just walked up, no contact involved)

In another incident, a group of MK veterans grabbed a poster which read “We Shall Rise Together” and beat a group of #ZumaMustFall protesters with it. The group of people appeared to have been beaten because they are white.

An earlier attempt by about 100 ANC supporters to reach Mary Fitzgerald Square, four blocks away from Luthuli House, was thwarted by police firing rubber bullets. The group were eventually escorted back to Luthuli House by MK vets.

ANCYL also attacked legal protests in Pmb:

PIETERMARITZBURG - The Democratic Alliance's anti-Zuma protest in Pietermaritzburg has ended abruptly.

The ANC Youth League invaded the gathering and attempted to set the DA's gazebo on fire.

Police fired stun guns to bring the situation under control.

Tensions continued to rise as opposition supporters chanted slogans calling for President Jacob Zuma to step down.

Police tried to separate the two groups, calling for restraint.

But it got worse, with league members hurling eggs at the protesters.

Police then fired stun grenades and arrested one league member.

According to Netwerk24 photographer Felix Dlangamandla about 20 pro-Zuma Black First Land First (BLF) and about 500 anti-Zuma supporters almost came to blows outside the Johannesburg estate.

That would have not ended well.
