After tomorrow is over, not one thing will have changed except that I will not have missed a day of work.I beg to differ. That entire piece is basically stating that "Hey, let's show our children that the best way to be politically responsible is to hide away in our little day jobs, grinding away and hope that somebody else will make our lives better for us!" Also don't let's try to measure the impact of a single day off work vs the damage that Jacob Zuma has caused over the past YEARS in office, that'd be too inconvenient for that specific argument.
Here's the chart for the rand's exchange rate. Do you happen to see a trend between Zuma taking up office in 2009 and the unrelenting climb?

As for that last part - "we already have enough criminals" - I have no words. Who here is equating a legal march (as enshrined in our Constitution) with being a criminal???

Say what you want. Cavedog has a point. He is not advocating violence. Just saying disruption (not violence) will help the cause.

A march at 12'clock on a Friday? Well no Muslims are going to pitch at Jumua time. Pity, I know a lot of them would have in Cape Town at least. It would have added to the numbers
Cool, thought my co-workers would be more involved.. but seems like this doesn't even feature on the radar compared to protesting about Palestine.
I'm figuring out where I could join - have meetings till 12 which will stuff up the logistics a bit.
Can't afford taking a day off, if it really could make a difference I would have considered it but this is just farting into the wind. Nothing we as a country do will get rid of this parasite.
Isn't that the idea of a protest?
We don't March for Palestine during Jumua.Cool, thought my co-workers would be more involved.. but seems like this doesn't even feature on the radar compared to protesting about Palestine.

I think you can stop repeating yourself now.
You're not going. We get it.
Dankief0kinadvance.
Anyway.
I can't give any names but our -massive- company has made it clear that people won't be given the day off unless the apply for leave.
Obviously worried about their share price. Lame.
This.Loss of money is one thing - but I suspect bigger companies might prefer to appear apolitical.

Yeah, they made that clear too.
They have a lot of power in this country so I'm quite annoyed at it.
I do understand it, but it's just another case of limp d1cked political correctness at at time when it's perfectly clear what the correct stance is.
Yeah, it's disgusting how weak many of our business 'leaders' are.

We got that as well, in addition to making it clear that if we plan on protesting, it is done in our personal capacity with no company branding visible...I can't give any names but our -massive- company has made it clear that people won't be given the day off unless the apply for leave.
